If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things. Now this is a quote I found once and I have always held it to be a good idea.

So when I find myself in an age of where no one questions any more and those that do are considered to be nothing more than fear mongers or crazy; I have to ask what all children ask. Why? why are we living in an age where the elders are considered by the young as stupid and foolish and unknowing. Why are we so passive as to believe in everything that is told to us. Even when it doesn't make any kind of sense? Why is it OK for one young man to beat on another, but the same act done by a different young man is wrong and labeled a hate crime. Is there a difference between the two acts? Are they not both a crime? How is it different? Is it because of the victim?

Or is it because I have reached that mythical age where I find myself doubting almost all things. I doubt that my leaders are looking out for me. I doubt that those who tell me they know more about what is better for me than me are being honest.

Yet I still consider myself a seeker of truth. I still read and learn and seek all of the things I used to. except now; I doubt others a little more.
